A modern unofficial AniList client for tracking, notifications, and optional community streaming extensions.

⚠️ The app itself does NOT include any built-in streaming services.
Content depends on user-installed extensions.

What's New

  • Fixed MacOS build.
  • Improved mobile video fullscreen on Android and iOS.
  • Player now opens in real fullscreen mode with fullscreen gestures.
  • Swipe seek and fullscreen player controls work again.
  • Android system bars are hidden better during playback.
  • Player no longer forces landscape rotation.
  • Player appbar now works in fullscreen.
  • Tap video to hide the appbar.
  • Tap the video again to show the appbar.
  • Tapping play/pause, seek bar, or appbar buttons will not accidentally hide the appbar.
  • Moved the progress bar a little higher from the bottom edge.
  • Fixed OP/ED skipping on iOS.

Install

This guide explains how to install AnimeShin on different operating systems.

🪟 Windows

Download the Windows build from Assets below.

  • File: AnimeShin-win-vX.Y.Z.zip

Install

Download → Extract → Run AnimeShin.exe

✅ No installation required
✅ Portable (can be moved anywhere)

If Windows SmartScreen appears, click More info → Run anyway

🍎 macOS

Download the macOS build from Assets below.

  • File: AnimeShin-macos-vX.Y.Z.dmg

Install

Open dmg → Drag to Applications

First launch: Right click → Open

🍏 iOS

Download the iOS build from Assets below.

  • File: AnimeShin-ios-vX.Y.Z.ipa

Install options

iOS requires sideloading (AltStore / SideStore / Sideloadly). No jailbreak required.

🤖 Android

Download the Android build from Assets below.

  • File: AnimeShin-android-vX.Y.Z.apk

You can install the APK normally.

Notes

  • This is an unofficial client. AniList, Shikimori, and community sources are third-party services.
  • Settings and data are stored locally on-device.
  • Extensions are optional and provided by third-party developers.
  • AnimeShin does not host or distribute media content.
  • Users are responsible for sources they configure.

Troubleshooting

App does not open on macOS

  • Use Right-click → Open the first time

Android APK won’t install

  • If installation fails: enable “Install unknown apps” in system settings.

Known issues

  • Community sources availability depends on the configured Sora-compatible sources.
  • iOS: dual subtitles may appear in some players
