Recipes
Besides the recipe to craft an Aerobatic Elytra (see Obtaining an Aerobatic Elytra), this mod adds many recipes to tweak Aerobatic Elytras.
Note
All recipes from this mod play well with NBT. For example, dyeing an Elytra will keep all of its enchantments/fuel/ability/custom NBT untouched. You don't need to worry about that.
Tip
You may read more about dyes, banners and trails in the Customization page.
Both, Aerobatic Elytras and Aerobatic Elytra Wings (see splitting wings) may be dyed in the same way as leather armor.

Combining the Elytra with any dye in a crafting table will mix the current Elytra's color with the dye's color. If the Elytra hasn't been dyed yet, it will be completely dyed with the dye's color (instead of mixing).
If the Elytra had been imprinted with a banner (see banner recipe) and is dyed, it'll be treated as if it weren't dyed.
Tip
The recipe is shapeless, and, if multiple dyes are used at once, their colors are mixed.
Just like leather armor, you may wash any dyes from an Elytra by using it (Right Click) on a cauldron filled with water.
Washing an Elytra on a cauldron can also remove imprinted banners.
If dyeing your Elytra with your favorite color (or pair of colors, one per wing (see splitting wings)) isn't enough customization, you may also imprint a banner on Aerobatic Elytras and Aerobatic Elytra Wings.

The banner will be printed onto the wings of the Elytra, and you'll be able to show it off to other players.
Note
The item icon will change to reflect the topmost and bottommost colors of its imprinted banner, but not the shape.
Note
Since Aerobatic Elytras are far larger than banners and shields, the banners are modified to fit the wing's shape. For example, border patterns will stick to the wing's border.
This is done manually and can be changed by resource packs. In general, care was put into keeping all banners' relative position around the center unchanged to avoid breaking any cool shape you may have carefully crafted into your banner by combining layers. However, some designs, in particular those that are tied to the bottom or the borders of the banner had to be slightly altered.
In addition, since Aerobatic Elytras are foldable, when folded, they won't be able to display the entire pattern.

Each Aerobatic Elytra has 4 rockets attached to it, one on each wing and two on your back.
Each such rocket can be assigned a rocket star, by crafting the elytra with a rocket which has a star. The position of the rocket in the crafting bench determines to which rocket of the Elytra will the star be assigned to.

Once assigned a star, the rockets will use its color and effects to produce a trail forever.
Note
Since this is a fun feature, the star will never run out, so don't worry about it and have fun playing with your trail.
Tip
Stars can be replaced (losing them). To remove a star from a rocket, assign to it a rocket without a star (again, you won't recover the star).
It's possible to dye and imprint banners separately to each wing. To do so, you first need to split the wing, then customize each wing separately, and finally join the wings back together.
Warning
Wings can only be joined back together if they have the exact same abilities/NBT. In general, you should assume they can only be joined back with their original pair.
As with socks, don't lose the matching pair!
To split an Aerobatic Elytra, place it along a pair of scissors in a crafting bench.
Picking the right wing from the result slot will leave the left wing and the scissors in the crafting table, for you to pick up too.

You may notice that both wings look like a left wing. This is because wings can be swapped sides once rejoined, so when split alone, which side they were doesn't matter anymore.
Warning
If you have the Customizable Elytra mod also installed, it may add a recipe to split vanilla Elytras into vanilla wings. However, this recipe can also accept Aerobatic Elytras. Splitting an Aerobatic Elytra into vanilla wings like this will permanently lose any abilities it had.
Once you've customized your wings separately, you may join them by simply placing them side-by-side on a crafting bench.

Which wing will be left and right depends on which one you place left and right, so you can use this to swap wings by splitting them and rejoining them in opposite sides.
Note
Naturally, each wing carries information about its rockets, so swapping the wings' position will not only swap their colors, but also the trail of their rockets.
These recipes tweak the abilities of an Aerobatic Elytra. They can be applied by placing the ingredient item on top of the Elytra on a crafting bench, or in bulk mode, sneak-using a whole ingredient stack in the air while holding the Elytra in your offhand.

By default, there are only 4 upgrade recipes, but datapacks/mods may add more:
- Use Firework Rocket of flight duration ≥ 1 to increase
Fuelby 2 - Use Firework Rocket of flight duration ≥ 2 to increase
Fuelby 2.5 (stacks with ≥ 1, so yields +4.5 fuel) - Use Firework Rocket of flight duration ≥ 3 to increase
Fuelby 2.5 (stacks with the above, so yields +7 fuel) - Use Shulker Shell to increase
MaxFuelby 20 (up to 512)

You may read more about Upgrade Recipes on their own section.
