RPCs and other parts of the code that read scrapped Spans, State Sync Events, Checkpoints, Milestones use the Astrid components for reading. DB split: Heimdall: contains Spans, Checkpoints, Milestones, Span Block Producer Selections. Bridge: contains State Sync Events Chaindata: contains only execution related data.

Long term we want to run Astrid as a standalone driver component which talks to Execution Engine, similar to Caplin. This will be done as part of "Astrid M3 - Standalone".
