execution-spec-tests-fixtures

Fixtures from official Ethereum test releases (execution-specs) for EthereumJS consumption.

Split by EthereumJS support, not upstream _stable / _develop names:

• stable/: expected to pass on current EthereumJS master
• dev/: upcoming fork / EIP work not yet fully supported

How we bump a snapshot: packages/vm/DEVELOPER.md in the monorepo (Updating fixtures). Glamsterdam mixed tests live at a stable path dev/blockchain_tests/amsterdam/glamsterdam/ and are replaced in place on each glamsterdam-devnet bump.

  • blockchain_tests/amsterdam/glamsterdam/ (replaced in place; upstream path blockchain_tests/for_amsterdam/amsterdam/)
  • Supersedes v7.2.1 (glamsterdam-devnet-7). Skipped intermediate tags v8.0.0–v8.0.x in this snapshot; v8.0.0 carries the main spec deltas (see below). v8.1.0 adds EIP-8038 revised gas schedule and EIP-2780 intrinsic-gas coverage only; EngineX / eth/72 (EIP-8070) fixtures upstream are not consumed.
  • v8.0.0 spec deltas (included via v8.1.0): EIP-2780 transfer-log cost folded into TX_VALUE_COST; EIP-8037 “regular gas” → “execution gas” (terminology); EIP-8038 access-list costs = cold minus WARM_ACCESS (2900 per address/key); EIP-8070 eth/72 sparse blobpool mandatory upstream (execute-only, not in tarball).
  • v8.1.0 spec delta: EIP-8038 revised repricing schedule (EIPs#12083); EIP-2780 additional intrinsic-gas test coverage.

No files in this dev/ glamsterdam set exceeded the GitHub ~100 MB limit.

Notes

Upstream glamsterdam tarballs unpack as fixtures/blockchain_tests/for_<fork>/…. We copy only state_tests / blockchain_tests we consume (not engine-x, sync, or transaction tests).

Local download cache (gitignored via fixtures*): fixtures_*.tar.gz and extract dirs. Do not re-download if the tarball is already present and the sha256 matches the GitHub asset.
