Is this supported by any native platform? Adding it here without adding support to iOS or Android doesn't really fix any behaviour beyond making the type-checker happy.

@javache you’re right, I’m using this in a mobile/web codebase w/ RN-web, I will look at alternative ways to handle this or just use a @ts-ignore
