Felipe Lima

Software Architect & Co-Founder at TagoIO

I build things that move data fast and don't fall over at 3am. When they do fall over at 3am, I'm the one who gets paged.

Based in Mount Dora, FL. Originally from Brazil. I write systems software, ship native apps, and mass-produce side projects that range from "production-grade" to "it compiles on my machine."

What I'm Building

Reqeast -- Native multi-protocol API client for Mac, iPhone & iPad. HTTP, WebSocket, SSE, TCP, and UDP in one app. Built with SwiftUI + Rust. The Postman alternative for people allergic to Electron.

MQTee -- Native MQTT client for Apple platforms. Full MQTT 5.0, topic tree browser, iCloud sync, and a Rust protocol engine underneath. Because debugging IoT shouldn't require a terminal and three browser tabs.

TagoTiP -- Transport IoT Protocol. A lightweight, human-readable, transport-agnostic wire protocol for IoT devices. ~4x smaller than HTTP/JSON, with optional zero-handshake encryption. SDKs in Rust, TypeScript, Go, Python, C, and Arduino.

Warm Burnout -- The theme suite for developers who already burned out but still have deadlines. Fully warm palette, minimal blue light, WCAG AAA contrast-audited. Your eyes are taking damage and your current theme doesn't care.

At TagoIO

Co-founded TagoIO -- an IoT data platform for device management, data analysis, and dashboards at scale. I architect backend systems, design protocols, and make sure millions of device messages per day land where they should.

Day-to-Day

Rust ████████████████████░░ primary weapon
Swift ████████████████░░░░░░ native apps
TypeScript ██████████████░░░░░░░░ when I have to
C ████████░░░░░░░░░░░░░░ embedded / FFI

Systems I work with daily: AWS, PostgreSQL, Redis, MQTT, Docker, Linux, and whatever protocol someone decided to invent this week.

Outside the Editor

Target shooting and home automation. Sometimes both feel like debugging.
