CW: DRUG USE!

This pack changes a majority of the textures in a wide assortment of mods to ones that resemble the style of pre-texture update Minecraft. Features a large amount of textures derived from Programmer Art Continuation Project (with permission). Some (albeit few) textures also derived from Classic Biomes o' Plenty, 4J studio's Legacy Console Edition Texturepacks, Reminiscence assets (by drbruhmoments & bbali), and the Minecraft Alpha 1.0.16 Versions webseries.

This pack includes extensively edited versions of some of the textures Reminiscence Mod's Reminiscence Art & Reminiscence Fixes resource packs, in order for it to not only be more easily avaliable, but also to fit in more with post-beta minecraft.

THIS PACK IS STILL A WIP! A large portion of the textures have already been done, but some of them havent!

WARNING! THIS MOD MAY TAKE A WHILE TO LOAD! if you want to cut things down a bit, you can extract the resource pack, go into the assets folder, and delete mods you don't have installed! (DO NOT DELETE THE ASSETS/MINECRAFT FOLDER, MANY OF THE THINGS IN THIS PACK RELY ON IT)

Some mods feature textures/edits of textures not by me, Mojang or PACP.

  • Mods that include textures/edites of textures from Reminiscence are marked with a 🔺Triangle.
  • Mods that include textures from 4J Studios Mashup Packs OR Legacy Console Edition exclusive assets are marked with a 🟡Circle.
  • Mods that include textures from Classic Biomes O' Plenty are marked with a 🌀Spiral.
  • Mods that include textures from Minecraft: Story Mode are marked with a 💗Heart.

  • Mods that include textures from someone else are marked with a 🔶Diamond. (In these cases, the bottom of the page includes credits.)
  • Mods that are addons of other mods are indented and put underneath their parent mod
    • (like this)
    • Addons that are for more than one mod will either not go under any mods or will go under the mod with the strongest connection to it (Ex: Dolt Mod How doesn't go under any mod, Alex's Delight goes under Alex's Mobs, More Relics goes under Relics, Tool's Complement: Caverns and Chasms & Oreganized goes under Tool's Complement, etc.) Also, addon mods that have their own addons will just be displayed like any other mod (Ex: Dungeon's Delight & Cleaver Compendium)

Caverns & Chasm's Peeper is rexextured to resemble AlphaVer's Observer mob

Atmospheric's Aspen Leaves & Cructose are taken directly from AlphaVer

Trivia:

  • The texture for the Orbital Railgun is based off of the weapon seen in screenshots of N#tch's unreleased space shooter game, 0x10c
  • my Environmental and Atmospheric support used to use 32x textures from Classic Faithful as placeholders, but have since been replaced with textures I drew myself
  • Certain items, mobs & blocks have been renamed to fit in better with their textures or the pack's theming. For example, Alex's Caves Scarlet Neodymium has been renamed to Glowing Obsidian, and Azure Neodymium to Blue Glowing Obsidian.
  • This pack has been in developement for over a year and a half now!
  • The Alex's Caves support features more words for the Spelunkery Table minigame, with words that either pertain to other mods, or other thematically relevant things.
  • The Diving Suit in Alex's Caves has been retextured to resemble the Diving Helmets seen in Minecraft: Story Mode - Season 2, Episode 1
  • The Telecore in Alex's Caves has been retextured to look like the Redstone Heart seen in Minecraft: Story Mode - Season 1, Episode 7
    • A similar texture is used for the Kinetic Core in Species.
  • The Gingerbread Blocks & Items seen in various of these mods are directly based off of/ modified versions of the iron blocks & items in the Candy Texture Pack from Legacy Console Edition.
    • On top of that, a majority of textures in the Candy Cavity Biome (from Alex's Caves) are taken/based off of ones also from the aformentioned Candy Texture Pack.
  • The Epoch Apple from More Relics has been changed into the Epoch Pear. The pear texture is taken from the custom item textures in Reminiscence.
  • The Spatial Sign from Relics has been changed into the Temporal Stopwatch. The stopwatch texture is taken from a graphic used in the minigames of Legacy Console Edition.
  • The Pizza textures used in both Nether Expansion and I Wanna Skate are modified versions of vanilla cake textures
    • The Soul Sand side textures in Nether Expansion are made using the 'Difference' blend mode in blockbench, plus the 'Limit to Palette' button i ordenr to make it brown.
  • The chest of the Zombie Brute from Born in Chaos is a stretched/edited version of the Zombie Horse's Body texture. The same method was used to make the chest of the Braniac from Alex's Caves.
    • In addition to that, the Zombie Brute is textured to resemble Sunny (one of the newer default minecraft skins)
  • The textures for the Swarmer and the Nightmare Stalker were drawn by gracedagirl.
  • The namespace for Born in Chaos (born_in_chaos_v1) implies the existance of more versions, even though this has yet to occur.
  • The Worms in Starcatcher were also drawn by Grace.
  • Every boat in this pack (including vanilla ones) have been repositioned to be consistent with eachother.
  • The Corpse Fly and the Bloody Gadfly have been remodeled & retextured to resemble the vanilla Bee mob, and have been renamed the 'Fat Fly' and the 'Vengeful Fly' respectively.
  • The textures for the Restless Spirit and Scarlet Persecutor from Born in Chaos are recolored versions of the Ghost texture from the minigames of Legacy Console Edition.
  • The Monster Flesh & Rotten Fish (Born in Chaos), Hoglin Loin (My Nether's Delight), and the Hog Ham (Nether Expansion) are all modified versions of the higher resolution hunger bar texture from Legacy Console Edition.
  • The Nucleeper in Alex's Caves uses blurry and stretched out versions of the vanilla Creeper's textures.
  • The Chimpanzee textures from Neapolitan are heavily modified versions of Steve's textures.
  • Unfun fact: if you look too hard at the Programmer Art Skeleton texture, you may realize that it appears to have hair. This is because it is an edit of the Programmer Art Zombie texture, which itself seems to be an edit of an obscure, old version of Steve's texture with his hair in another layer. However, the texture artist (presumably N#tch) just recolored the first layer's hair to look more like skin, leaving a slightly darker patch of skin where the hair usually is.
  • The Evendeeper from Caverns & Chasms has spider eyes!
  • The Peeper from Caverns & Chasms is changed to resemble the Observer mob from the Cypress build of AlphaVer.
  • The Glowsticks from Spelunkery are remodeled and retextured to resemble the Glowsticks from Minecraft: Education Edition.
  • I didn't realize that the Wicked (from the Species mod) was supposed to be a candle until halfway through making it's texture, and as such, if you look closely, you can see that the top of it's head is a recolored version of a gold block.
  • The Ghoul in the Species mod is a heavily edited amalgamation of the aformentioned obscure bald steve texture and a pig.
  • The Hanger in the Species mod is an amalgamation of evoker fangs and the legs and eyes of a spider.
  • While texturing the Treeper, I repeatedly forgot what kind of tree it was supposed to be, and ended up switching back and forth between spruce and dark oak at least twice (once before and after making the log textures the same size as vanilla's logs.
  • Originally, I was going to make the End Watchers (in the mod of the same name) resemble the Endersent from Minecraft Dungeons. I ended up finding it to be too difficult, and in the end I just made it look like a bigger enderman, and renamed it 'Elderman'.
  • The Hot Air Balloon in Breezy uses textures of the banner (Vanilla Minecraft), the tatami mat (Farmer's Delight/Reminiscence), and the pig's saddle (also Vanilla).
  • The Field Guide (Item) as well as it's buttons are based off of/inspired by the Mobestiary, an official minecraft book released in 2017.
  • The textures for Galosphere are primarily tailored for the pre-1.5 version, but support is still included for new versions.
  • The keys in Sky Arena are edits of the keys in Legend of the Chambered 2, one of N#tch's older games
    • This game, as well as the other 2 installments, are where several base minecraft textures originate from! (apples, armor pieces, & swords, to be exact.)
  • The Deer (Environmental) and the Snail (Autumnity) are both modified versions of their respective counterparts from the Naturalist mod support in Reminiscence.
  • The Turkey's textures in Autumnity are based off of the Chicken Texture in the Festive Mash-Up Pack from Legacy Console Edition.
  • The Cod (Vanilla Mob) fish is retextured to look like it's 1.13 counterpart, but it's textures are actually edits of the old minecraft fish item texture + PACP's cod entity texture.
  • Both Heart Crystal mods use the same namespace, and the same texture names, so this pack uses the same texture for both packs' items and blocks.
  • There is a picture of what appears to be a bulldog in the assets of the Dungeon's Delight Mod. The texture is named 'Hoss'. Apparently, Hoss seems to have previously taken up around 2/3rds of Dungeon's Delight's filesize, and tended to crash people's games.
  • This pack is probably horrible for people with any kind of color blindness.
  • Several textures in Dungeon's Delight are based off of / modified versions of textures from the Halloween Mash-Up Pack from Legacy Console Edition. This is most noticable with the Monster Cake, Wormwood Door & Trapdoor, and Living Fire.
  • For reference for the Candied Silverfish and Candied Vex items in Dungeons Delight, I made recolored versions of the full vanilla vex & silverfish textures. These reference textures are still in the entities folder of DD.
  • Brittel Bedrock's singular texture was originally much larger than what would be considered reasonable for a normal-sized block.
  • The Tangle Roots from Spelunkery (and the wormroot tendrils from Dungeons Delight) are modified versions of the side texture of the PACP Crimson/Warped Stem block.
  • The Duck's textures in Environmental are based off of the Duck texture seen in the Minecon 2018 New Entity Sample, an obscure Bedrock Edition add-on made to showcase the then new ability to add new entities without replacing vanilla ones. The same goes for the baby duck.
  • Apparently, the vanilla chicken are/were supposed to be cross-eyed, similar to pigs, cows, and sheep. Unlike the others, though, the eyes are right up against eachother, and the whites of the eyes are the same color as it's feathers, leading to it appearing to have 1x1 dot eyes.
  • The base for the Flesh Block (used in Species for the frozen meat, in Alex's Caves for the Dinosaur Chop & Tube Worm, and a few other blocks & mobs) is a color-corrected version of the oak log, but with the highlights and shadows darkened and brightened respectively to appear as the same color.
  • Support for the mods Iron's Spells & Spellbooks, Rats, Tide, Cultural Delights, Ribbits, Brewin & Chewin, Exquisito, Easter's Delight, Overweight Farming, Wither Storm Delight, Sons of Sins, Biomancy, Apotheosis, Scorched Guns, SC Guns (Caverns & Chasms Addon), Illager Invasion, Shutter, Whaleborne, L_Ender's Cataclysm, DimensionalDoors, and a few other mods was originally included in this main pack, but have since been removed due to scope creep, load time concerns, and other similar reasons. Some of these mods will have addon packs created for them in the future.
  • Many of the color palettes used in the textures of this pack are made using the Colour Gradient Generator addon for blockbench, made by Ewan Howell.
  • The Acid (Alex's Caves), Primal Magma (Alex's Caves), Ectoplasm (Nether Expansion), and Liquid Magma (Caverns & Chasms) are all recolored/modified versions of the Lava texture used in Minecraft Pocket Edition from versions 0.14.2 all the way until 1.11.0, which was when the texture update was added to Bedrock Edition.
  • Zirconia in Caverns & Chasms uses a texture from AlphaVer. I'm unsure as to what it's called, or what it's used for, but it has a similar rainbow-ish asthetic, as well as an item form, so I thought it fit well enough.
  • The wreaths in Snowy Spirit and Windswept are taken directly from the doors of the Festive Mash-up Pack for Legacy Console Edition.
  • Many of the brick & chiseled brick textures used in Caverns & Chasms are originally from / were originally intended to be used for Quark's own bricks & chiseled bricks.
  • The Wormouth from Dungeons Delight uses a mishmash of the PACP Skulk Catalyst, Mycelium, and the 4k-1 Grass Texture (4k-1 being a special version of minecraft made by N#tch designed to take up less than 4 kilobytes, made for the 2010 Java 4K contest.
    • The same textures are used for alphacene in Species.
  • No generative AI was used in the making of this pack! (Mob AI Tweaks is a mod that makes changes and additions to the behavior of vanilla mobs in minecraft, and has nothing to do with generative AI.)
