Ran through all three examples on both this proposed branch and current prod, using both Python and R data generation scripts.
Runtime and results seem comparable, output looks to match within tolerance.
I think you're good to publish this.

Usual review: I ran all the existing examples and they appear to still be functional. Nothing too crazy in the changelogs for either package to make me worried.
