About this release
Attention: this contains a bugfix (re-added support for unofficial .CRTs containing EEPROM data for GMOD2 carts). EOTB currently does not work on NTSC machines (use an older release until this is fixed again).

This is version 0.51c, a small update as suggested in the discussion: It is now possible to add a .tga-file containing a slide show for the TFT screen for PRGs and Magic Desk CRTs.

As before you can add a custom logo in a 240x240 with "name.tga" -- now you can add "name-slideshow.tga" which is 240 pixels wide, and N * 240 pixels high (N being the number of images in the slide show, 0<N<32). Also optionally you can add "name-slideshow.time" which contains 1 byte per image determining how long an image is shown (in 1/10th of a second).

This release also contains the fix for EOTB incl. C128 turbo mode and saving to flash. This has not yet been thorougly tested, if you experience problems let me know (and resort to 0.51a meanwhile).

Sidekick64 v0.51 features/updates:

MOD/YM/WAV Player (up to 48kHz stereo with dual SID-setups)
low-latency HDMI-audio output for SID-/FM-/MIDI-emulation
added YM3526/OPL sample playing emulation
user-defined Logos for freezers/kernals
hiding C128-specific folders on C64
fixed GeoRAM not-saving-bug

Note:
If you overwrite your existing SD-card, make sure to add this line to config.txt: hdmi_force_hotplug=1
when using a SIDKick with the audio player: update your SIDKick-firmware
if you downloaded this release before Sep 01, please take this version (.zip contained a wrong file, causing some PRGs to not start correctly)

Where did you get your Sidekick64? How to get one?

You’ve built it yourself? Cool, this project is for tinkerers!

If you have questions about assembling one, don't hesitate to ask!

If you can’t build one yourself, there are official sellers of Sidekick64/RAD/SIDKick: www.restore-store.de (all three projects), www.retro-updates.com (Sidekick64).

It is also perfectly fine and appreciated if someone sells spare PCBs (populated or not) of a PCB-order or manufactures a small batch and offers them on a forum, but I expect the price tag to be lower than that of the aforementioned official sellers.

If you bought a Sidekick64/RAD/SIDKick for the same price or even more, this clearly is a violation of the license and you should ask the seller why they are not respecting open source/CC developers' licenses.
