Compleasm uses miniprot for protein-to-genome alignment to assess gene completeness, providing a faster alternative to the previously used BUSCO tool while using the same lineage databases ({% cite Huang2023 %}). Like BUSCO, it evaluates the completeness of a genome assembly in terms of expected gene content. |
