Sent on a critical mission for humanity, you are tasked with stopping the imminent explosion of the most important nuclear reactor on the planet: The Omega reactor. Due to its autonomous nature, nobody is there to oversee the process. Having gone too volatile and threatening the world as we know it, you are tasked with lowering the control rods, of which we have lost control due to the systems going haywire from all the interference. Expect to be met with an eerie yet overwhelming place, of which divergence you must stop.
The camp is divided into three parts, which house the control panels for the stopping rods. You must investigate each of these areas to find out how to access the control panels.
The parts are represented by:
Usually tied with quantum experiments, research in optics was placed long ago in this nuclear plant, to enable physicists to conduct their studies. Now serving as a control mechanism which enables the synchronisation of commands, it seems to have been tinkered with. Maybe those interference waves altered them when the emissions got stronger?
This building seems to be completely locked up. There is absolutely no going in or out of it; at least, not for a human. By searching the nearby area, you see that this building is really well ventilated. Maybe something can do the job for you? On the roof of the building, you find an RC car. This could easily circulate the vents and enable you to open the door, just so you can enter the building and override the security protocol.
It appears that something lost control a bit too much; surrounding this building is an immense corrosive lake, but there seems to be a crane nearby that was supposed to be used in constructing an auxiliary area. Pick up destroyed tanks and place them such that you create your own path, but beware, this path will need your best judgment. Use your intuition and agility to bypass this.
After unlocking all the control rods and restoring manual access to them, head back to the reactor room. You don’t have that much time left, so hurry up and activate the control rods! But this won’t go too well for you! You are hit with hundreds or even thousands of milliSieverts every second! You must circle the reactor and manually activate the rods while trying to escape this hell of a place.
If you do this in time, congrats! You just saved humanity from being erased. If not, you will be forever forgotten, along with any trace of humanity (or even life) on this planet.
