Summary of Changes

Hello @mosuem, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request focuses on streamlining the development workflow by removing manual steps related to license header application. It updates documentation and build scripts to no longer require or execute a specific license application tool, indicating a shift towards an automated solution for managing license headers, which aligns with the goal of adding a PR health workflow.

Highlights

  • Documentation Update: Removed instructions for manually applying license headers from .agent/rules/genkit-dart.md and CONTRIBUTING.md.
  • Build Script Streamlining: The dart run tools/apply_license.dart command has been removed from the build-gen-core script within pubspec.yaml.
  • Process Automation: These changes suggest a move towards automating license header management, likely as part of the new 'PR health workflow' indicated by the pull request title, eliminating the need for manual intervention.
Ignored Files
  • Ignored by pattern: .github/workflows/** (3)
    • .github/workflows/health.yaml
    • .github/workflows/post_summaries.yaml
    • .github/workflows/publish.yaml

Code Review

This pull request removes all usages of the tools/apply_license.dart script from documentation and build configurations. While the changes are consistent, the script file itself is not being deleted, which will leave unused code in the repository. I've added a comment suggesting its removal. Additionally, the pull request title, "Add PR health workflow", does not seem to accurately reflect the changes, which focus on removing a manual process rather than adding a new workflow.

I am having trouble creating individual review comments. Click here to see my feedback.

pubspec.yaml (46-47)

medium

With the removal of this script execution, and similar removals in documentation files, the tools/apply_license.dart script appears to be obsolete. To avoid dead code and confusion for future contributors, please consider deleting the tools/apply_license.dart file in this PR.
