CVE-2025-62725 affects the processing of OCI layer annotations (com.docker.compose.extends and com.docker.compose.envfile) which allow path traversal attacks. This functionality was added in v2.34.0 (March 2025, commit 66a47169d) and fixed in v2.40.2 (October 2025, commit 69bcb962b).
