Issue description

Issue:
-- When a project in the project manager is clicked, the editor window opens up but has a grey background and closes down after some loading time. The loading time got longer with the newer version -

-- I found a similar issue from an older version of Godot and have attempted the fixes suggested by that post, but none have worked so far -
