Supported Operating Systems

OpenGEE has been successfully built and run on the 64-bit version of the following operating systems (32-bit versions will not work):

  • Ubuntu 14.04 LTS
  • Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
  • CentOS 6
  • CentOS 7
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7

There are known issues with building and running OpenGEE on Ubuntu 16.10 and later.

Supported Compilers

OpenGEE has been successfully compiled with the following versions of GCC:

  • 4.8.4
  • 4.8.5
  • 5.4.0

No other compilers have been tested.

Other Versions

Versions of software other than those listed above may or may not work. We recommend using supported platforms.
