Description

Relaxed the project constraint in the dataplex-lookup-context tool to use the project defined in the source configuration, while strictly enforcing that all passed resources belong to the same location.
Impact:

  • Allows users to pass resources that might have different project IDs in their resource names (e.g., when searching across projects), as long as they are in the exact same location. The tool will use the project ID from the configured source for the API call.
  • Prevents invalid API calls by ensuring all resources belong to the same regional location.
    Summary of Solution:
  1. Added ProjectID() string to the compatibleSource interface.
  2. Updated the Invoke method to construct the parent name using the project from the source configuration and the location from the first resource in the list.
  3. Added a validation loop to ensure all subsequent resources share the same location as the first one.
  4. Updated the resources parameter description in the tool's Initialize method to reflect these new constraints.
