How do I get the latest site definitions
A few things can kick off a check to see if there are new site definitions and retrieve updates.
This means retrieving the version.json file first, and comparing the version number to what's stored locally, and then retrieving the sites.json file if it appears an update is available.
- When the extension is first installed, or
- When the definitions are wiped out of storage for some reason, or
- When the "Delete Definitions" button has been clicked, wiping out storage.
Go into the Options page and press the "Update Definitions" button. If there's a new version or the definitions are missing locally, they'll be retrieved.
Once a day, the extension checks for new definitions on its own.
