This project is meant to be a fun simple challenge to help education a broad audience about open source.
Here is the link to the free hosted Open Source Challenge shiny app. Note: no data is being recorded or stored.
Our GW OSPO Team came up with this fun activity that we have use when tabling at various events and we decided to digitize our physical version to make it more accessible. We love the conversations and aha moments that we see when people learn which projects are open source and which are proprietary or closed.
We strongly encourage sharing of this code and project and we encourage contributions as well.
This project is a shiny-app using R and shiny. We have a simple config.yaml file so that they underlying drag & drop shiny app is generic and you can change the config to add different items, bins, titles, etc.
We have plans to integrate the generic drag & drop feature into the surveydown tool as a new type of survey question.
We are grateful for any acknowledgement or citations.
