"You can order it through your PCB manufacturer of choice (we used JLCPCB). However, note that the PCB is copper core. This is because the LEDs draw several amps of current in operation. To ensure that the PCB doesn't melt, you should use copper core to facilitate better heat flow."
"When ordering the PCB, the manufacturer might send you an email asking about a missing heatsink file. In this case, please respond that this project does not include a direct heatsink, as the copper core PCB itself is designed to handle the thermal management."
DLPDLCR471TPEVM (4 LED) BOM:
Vendor | Model | Price each (2025) | Quantity | Link |
---|---|---|---|---|
Lumileds | L1F3-U400200012000 | $10.50 | 4 | Digikey |
Molex | 0874371043 | $0.71 | 1 | Digikey |
Notes:
- DLP4710EVM-LC
- Instead use Molex 0874381043
- FOSSF Silicon notes
- Connectors mate with Molex 0874391000
- Pins: suggest Molex 874210000
TODO:
- Organize outputs / "history"
- Which are 4 vs 6 LED designs?
- Create gerber release files
- Port existing files to KiCAD?
- Add images to docs
- DLP4710EVM-LC
- Measure voltage on existing blue LEDs
- Are these driven with lower voltage?
- Make new PCB
- Clean BOM instructions (connector / LEDs) link a pr
- Measure voltage on existing blue LEDs
I can't access the officially linked gerber file
FIXME: some files look somewhat identical but not vs the timestamps?
Looks like started with 6 LED design and then moved to 4 LED

Note these two were nearly identical:
- "Project Outputs for UV_LED/": lf line endings. Deleted since redundant + inconsistent
- "Project Outputs for UV_LED (2).zip": cr/lf line endings
- Most have cr/lf line endings
