Also not a maintainer, but I think these look good. Not sure what the maintainers' attitude is toward mentioning different OSes in the tutorial, but it seems ok to me.

After doing the tutor the first time, some instructions were a bit unclear to me.
I was encouraged by crespo to make a PR, with the sections I found unclear worded differently, or adding additional information to them.
