надо найти правило линтера, отслеживающее пробелы - условие отделяем пробелам:
if (scale > SCALE_STEP) {

много пустых строк. Пустые строки оставляем между объявлениями функций, отделяем крупные логические блоки и после импортов. В остальном, чаще всего пишем плотный код, строка за строкой
