Summary

Addressed Issue #31 by extending the resume evaluation logic to recognize additional open-source programs beyond Google Summer of Code (GSoC).

Details

  • Added recognition for Linux Foundation Mentorship (LFX), Outreachy, and Major League Hacking (MLH) Fellowship under the "Open Source (0–35 points)" scoring section.
  • Ensures fair scoring treatment for contributors from these major programs, acknowledging equivalent technical and community impact.
  • Verified end-to-end functionality locally with Ollama (gemma3:1b and 4b models) using sample resumes.

Impact

Improves fairness, inclusivity, and the AI evaluation model’s ability to assess diverse open-source experience profiles.

This PR addresses and resolves Issue #31.

Changes include:

  • Addition of Linux Foundation Mentorship (LFX), Outreachy, and MLH Fellowship recognition under the open-source scoring section.
  • Ensures parity with GSoC scoring logic for equivalent contributions.
  • Locally tested the scoring logic using Ollama (gemma3:1b and 4b) models with real resume inputs.

Ready for review.
