Please take a look at this conversation with ImprovMX AI Bot
improvmx_2026_01_05_215472540629568.txt

And now, please tell me, how do I fix the situation? I used proxy to add the TXT record, and they are saying not to use a proxy. Or have I misunderstood something?

image upon checking your records, here is what i can say; "Patience is a Virtue!" dns propagation might take 48 hours.

now tell me, what email are you going to send? (well, you are planning to use zohomail)

@STICKnoLOGIC Thanks for the clarification.

To explain the current state of the PR:

  1. Why both records? I have included records for both Zoho and ImprovMX intentionally. Since I am unsure if Zoho's new "Free Tier" restrictions will work for my needs, I want to attempt validation on both services to see which one suits me. I plan to use this custom email on my portfolio website and other sites (dev-sites) to avoid exposing my personal email address publicly, so reliability is key. I will clean up the unused one later.

  2. The Proxy Confusion: The reason I questioned the proxy setting earlier is that ImprovMX Support explicitly told me: "Proxied records in Cloudflare are exactly what's blocking your TXT validation" and advised me to turn it off.
    However, I understand now that for is-a.dev (which uses a CNAME), proxied: true is mandatory to allow these MX/TXT records to exist. I will trust your advice over their bot.

  3. Zoho Note: Just a heads up for the documentation — Zoho has removed IMAP/POP and auto-forwarding from their free plan, effectively making it web-only.

I will wait for the DNS propagation as you suggested.
