Hi everyone, I'm currently working on simulating a cable-suspended robot in Omniverse Isaac Sim. The idea is to control the position of a suspended platform using multiple winch mechanisms that can pull or release cables.
I'm trying to figure out:
What is the recommended way to implement a winch system in Omniverse for controlling cable lengths?
Are there any existing examples, components, or extensions that show how to simulate winches or cable-driven systems?
How can I simulate cable retraction and extension? Are there specific physics or articulation settings I should be aware of?
My setup:
Omniverse Isaac Sim 4.5.0
Any suggestions or resources would be really appreciated!
