[Question] Why is the v2.3.0 release still being updated? #4127

Question
I noticed that the v2.3.0 release (published at the end of October) has received several commits afterwards. currently about 7 new commits on the same release tag.
Could you clarify why the release tag isn’t frozen and continues to get updates? This makes it difficult to track versions and stay aligned with the official releases, since the contents of the release keep changing.
