I looked at this PR but I don't follow why suddenly dependabot decided that there is a new release available:

• Jenkins Doc page shows build 8 as the last release on both, plugins.jenkins.io and GH
• I went through the Actions history (12Dec) and the cd-release step was never fired

@jenkinsci/commons-collections4-api-plugin-developers any ideas?

Not sure to understand 100% de cause but I've observed many behavior changes on dependabot over the past couple of weeks

This is an incremental. Do not merge and release or the plugin will just stop to work

Renovate is now widely adopted on the jenkinsci organisation and provder much better results (and centralized configuration)
