I'm Jonatan, a backend and infrastructure engineer. I build the systems other engineers depend on: delivery pipelines, developer tooling, observability, and the orchestration underneath ML workers.
- 🔧 A maintainer of JabRef since 2021, a 4,600+ ⭐ open-source reference manager: reviewing community pull requests, making architectural calls on external contributions, and onboarding first-time contributors
- 🎓 Google Summer of Code mentor (2021: Microsoft Word add-in for JabRef)
- 🛠️ 2021–2026: backend, delivery, and observability infrastructure at a social network; most recently the re-architecture of its ML worker orchestration onto durable execution on Kubernetes
- 🤖 Shipped: two MCP servers, Apple Reminders in Swift on the official SDK (Homebrew-packaged) and the Morgen calendar API in Python; earlier in 2026, LLM quantization and local serving on Apple Silicon (MLX)
