This guide explains how to use the Ubuntu image for this workshop

  1. Install a Virtual Machine client like VirtualBox or VMWare Player.
  2. Import the .ova image file using the client. You do not need to transfer the .ova file from the memory stick in order to do this.
  3. Start up the image. Open terminal and go into the workshop folder cd ~/Workshops/storm-workshop/storm-twitter-workshop
  4. Run git pull to be sure to have the newest updates.
  5. Run Intellij IDEA using the shortcut on Ubuntu desktop.
  6. Follow the workshop steps from main page.
