Welcome to the latest release of Accent! This version is optimized for Windows 11, providing seamless theme management and system integration.

📥 Installation Steps

1. Download

Download the installer from the Assets section below:

  • File: Accent_v2.0.0_Win_11.exe

2. Run the Installer

  • Double-click the downloaded .exe file.
  • Note: If Windows SmartScreen appears, click "More info" and then "Run anyway".
  • Follow the setup wizard to complete the installation.

3. Firewall Configuration

To ensure all features work correctly, you must allow Accent through the Windows Firewall:

  • When prompted by Windows Security, check the boxes for both Private and Public networks.
  • Click Allow Access.

🛠 How to Use

Launching the App

You can open Accent in two ways:

  • Desktop: Double-click the Accent shortcut created on your desktop.
  • Start Menu: Search for "Accent" in your applications list and click to run.

Auto-Start with Windows

To have your theme settings apply automatically every time you turn on your PC:

  1. Locate the Accent icon in the System Tray (bottom right corner, near the clock).
  2. Right-click the icon.
  3. Select/Tick "Start with Windows".

Theme Switching

Accent makes it easy to match your system to your environment:

  • Toggle Switch: Use the main toggle within the app interface to instantly switch the entire system between Light Mode and Dark Mode.
  • This affects the Taskbar, Start Menu, and supported Windows 11 applications.

⚠️ Troubleshooting

  • Permissions: If the theme doesn't change, try running the app as an Administrator.
  • Manual Firewall Entry: If you missed the popup, go to Windows Settings > Privacy & Security > Windows Security > Firewall & network protection > Allow an app through firewall and ensure Accent is allowed.
