Bootstraps this repository with wimpysworld/tailor — a tool that keeps community health files, repo settings, and labels consistent and current via automated PRs.

.tailor.yml

  • License: agpl-3.0 (matches existing LICENSE)
  • Repository settings: squash-merge only, delete branch on merge, no auto-merge, read default workflow permissions
  • Topics: biodiversity, django, python, gis, freshwater
  • Standard 12-label set (Catppuccin Latte palette)
  • Nix/just/direnv swatches (justfile, flake.nix, .envrc, cubic.yaml) set to never — not applicable to this Django project
  • All community health files (SECURITY.md, CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md, CONTRIBUTING.md, SUPPORT.md) set to always
  • Existing files (.github/FUNDING.yml, .gitignore) set to first-fit to avoid overwriting

.github/workflows/tailor.yml

  • Runs tailor alter weekly (Monday 09:00 UTC) and on workflow_dispatch
  • Opens a tailor-alter PR when any swatch drifts from the embedded template
  • Uses TAILOR_TOKEN secret if present, falls back to GITHUB_TOKEN
  • update-flake-lock job is a no-op here (no flake.lock present)

💡 You can make Copilot smarter by setting up custom instructions, customizing its development environment and configuring Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers. Learn more Copilot coding agent tips in the docs.
