The error also appears when using the standard filter and typing id:retro.

I already did a PR which adressed this and another bug. You are most knowledgable regarding the query logic here. Maybe you can have a look:

#6672

if you find a better or simpler way which fixes the error in both UI elements, that would be great.

It's probably not necessary, but it would still be a useful GUI improvement, wouldn't it? You immediately notice that you can only enter numbers here.
