there's another bug happening when the td_shutdown request is received / when the server stops, that bug occurs at starting commit #48, so I can't go back to fix that bug |

this fixes the bug #63 that was introduced in #58. This reverts the other pull request, which is why it fixes the bug
however the previous pull request aimed to fix use after free, so I don't know what to do about that
