Switch from hardcoded ubuntu-2204-jammy image names to using KUBE_GCE_IMAGE_FAMILY=ubuntu-2404-lts-amd64. This ensures jobs automatically use the latest image in the family and avoids cluster initialization timeouts caused by slow containerd downloads on outdated images. I attempted this a few months ago and it didn't work. Retriggered the jobs now to see if they pass on the latest images |
