Welcome to bcp! This application helps you find the correct pitch for any note of Byzantine Chant. It can also assist with isokratima. Use this guide to download and run the software easily.
To get started, visit the Releases page to download the application. You will see multiple versions available. Choose the latest version for your operating system.
- Click on the version link that matches your system.
- A file will start downloading. This file contains everything you need to run bcp.
bcp works on Windows, macOS, and Linux. Here are the basic requirements for each:
- Windows: Windows 10 or later (64-bit)
- macOS: macOS Catalina or later
- Linux: Any version with libX11, libXtst, and libXrandr
Make sure your computer meets these requirements before you proceed.
Once the download finishes, follow these steps to run bcp:
- Open the downloaded
.exefile. - Follow the instructions in the installation wizard.
- Once installed, find bcp in your Start Menu and launch it.
- Locate the downloaded
.dmgfile. - Open it and drag the bcp icon to your Applications folder.
- Find bcp in your Applications and double-click to open it.
- Open a terminal.
- Navigate to the directory where you downloaded the file.
- Run the following command:
chmod +x bcp ./bcp
When you launch bcp, you will see a simple interface. Here’s how to use it:
- Select Note: Choose the note you want to find the pitch for from the dropdown menu.
- Play Note: Click the "Play" button to hear the note.
- Adjust Pitch: Use the slider to adjust the pitch if needed.
- Save or Record: You can save your settings or record your adjustments for future reference.
