This is the headquarters for Minerva documentation where you will find information for users, viewers, developers, and anyone interested in Minerva. Here, you will find the source code, instructions for using Minerva Author, hosting your Minerva Story on the web, and updates on our latest releases and bug fixes.
Minerva is a suite of software tools for tissue atlases and digital pathology that enables interactive viewing and fast sharing of large image data. It comprises of Minerva Author, a tool that lets you easily create and annotate images, and Minerva Story, a narrative image viewer for web hosting.
For users (authors): If you are interested in creating a Minerva Story, start by downloading this example dataset. Keep an eye out for new releases and tell us if you find a bug.
For viewers: If you are interested in hosting a Minerva Story on the web, start by viewing some completed example stories hosted on our website.
For developers: If you are interested in contributing to Minerva as a developer, read the contribution guidelines and the information for developers.
For everyone: If you are interested in learning who the people on the Minerva Team are or hearing about Minerva news and updates.
Minerva follows a client-server model for delivering content. Images in OME-TIFF or SVS format are imported into Minerva Author where a user sets image settings and annotations. Minerva Author then renders image pyramids and a configuration file that is read by Minerva Story to deliver the content to viewers.
We are actively developing the Minerva suite of tools to transform large image data viewing and sharing. Stay tuned for exciting announcements!
