  • The goal for 1.5.0 is a "boring to users, exciting to devs" release with no shiny new features but lots of work on the internals to make things better, stronger, faster, etc. Better support for CLDF and Glottolog (using new Pythonic APIs) will probably be the bulk of the work.

  • This is where API changes go, which are as follows. * `beastling` only accepts one configuration file on the command line. Multiple config files can be combined using a small separate tool, which also supports at-read interpolation, and can be piped into `beastling`'s stdin. (This only makes sense if no data files are read from stdin.) * We hope to find a way for `sectionxform` or otherwise support small-letter section headings without breaking compatibility with existing beastling config files containing an `[MCMC]` section in capital letters
