MAIR exists to connect, organize, and amplify Moroccan AI research. We build open platforms, datasets, programs, and community infrastructure that make Moroccan AI research more visible, more collaborative, and more useful for academia, industry, and society.

MAIR’s mission is to:

• Map Moroccan AI researchers, labs, startups, institutions, events, and research outputs.
• Support students, researchers, engineers, and builders through mentorship, education, paper clubs, and open programs.
• Publish open resources, indicators, reports, and datasets about the state of AI research in Morocco and support further progress.
• Connect Moroccan AI talent locally and globally.
• Promote open-source, responsible, and high-impact AI for Morocco, Africa, and the Global South.
