.agentfiles

My personal AI agent configuration files (skills, rules, commands, agents). So my AI assistants always feel at home...

Installation

Almost everything is automated thanks to a bunch of scripts and dotbot. Just clone this repository and run the install script:

git clone https://github.com/martindzejky/agentfiles ~/.agentfiles
cd ~/.agentfiles
./install

Philosophy

I try to keep my setup lean. I'm a professional engineer and I want to be behind the steering wheel when working, not just along for the ride. I view the setup in a few categories: reusable pieces, orchestration, and domain knowledge.

In my experience, I don't think you need huge skill files or elaborate stacks. Modern AI models and editors are smart and don't need that much hand-holding. You just need to teach it how you like to work.

Sources

Most of the files in this repo come from my own work and experience. Some files like skills or rules were adapted from other repositories, and then I tweaked them to fit my own needs.

There are a couple of "domain knowledge" style skills like marketing, color theory, and design, which I view as experts I can consult when doing such domain specific work. These come from the internet and are mostly blackboxes to me that I can consult.
