Moves code and tests into directories

Trying to add some basic structure to the project - separate tests directory, ideally some configuration files at the root level, etc.

Sound like a good idea @mbernhardt6 ?

My initial attempt to add tox/travis doesn't seem to play well with unittest. Is that something you've ever bridged before? I've used py.test on my other projects, so I'm not familiar with how to integrate unittest.
