This is a modern dark EmulationStation theme based on original ideas by Chicuelo and brought to life in collaboration with Nick L (c64-dev). The original Epic Noir theme for RetroPie can be found here.
This Extended version includes adaptations that have been made by mattfeeder18 to include further systems and provide system images/logos.

All original artwork belongs to the many artists who devoted their talents and time into making them. Most of them can be found in DeviantArt.
Although these images are high quality, they have been replaced by system images and system logos to ensure consistency throughout the theme (as controller images are not available for new systems in the same style). System images and logos have been collected from screenscraper - the same source that game metadata can be scraped from via Skyscraper.

Create folder
~/.emulationstation/themesif it does not exist. -
Run in a terminal:
cd ~/.emulationstation/themes git clone https://github.com/mattfeeder18/es-theme-epicnoir-extended.git --branch master
In order to update your installed theme (if you installed with above instructions), open a terminal and run:
cd ~/.emulationstation/themes/es-theme-epicnoir-extended
git pull
This theme supports video. You can also use a scraped image in conjunction with the video. If you scrape both, when a game is selected, it will show the screenshot for a couple of seconds before fading and playing the video.
Game screenshots are not included within the theme. You can scrape your own - you should use game boxart/screenshots and/or videos. Personally, I recommend Skyscraper, which can be installed directly within RetroPie, or pulled via GitHub.
