Open this suggestion in Promptless to view citations and reasoning process

Documents the new Notes permission model that provides fine-grained control over Contact note management, separate from Contact permissions. Updates both Roles configuration docs and Contact management docs.

Thanks for the feedback, @adiati98! I've addressed all your suggestions by capitalizing "Notes" and "Note" consistently as Mautic feature names throughout the documentation.

Changes made:

  • docs/contacts/manage_contacts.rst: Updated 9 instances — capitalized "notes" → "Notes" and "note" → "Note" in the Notes section description, permissions explanation, and bullet points
  • docs/users_roles/managing_roles.rst: Updated 2 instances — capitalized in the Notes permission category description and the explanatory note

Please let me know if there's anything else you'd like me to adjust.

Done! I've rebased the branch onto 7.2 and force-pushed the changes. The PR now has 3 clean commits on top of the latest 7.2 branch.

Thanks for the review feedback, @adiati98! I've addressed both suggestions:

  1. Updated the reference to use generic "permissions" link instead of "Notes permissions"
  2. Combined the two note admonitions into a single note with an unordered list and bolded permission types

The changes have been pushed to this branch.

Thanks @adiati98 — cleaned this up. I rebased the branch onto 7.2 and dropped the stray merge history, so the PR now contains only the 4 Notes-permissions commits and the diff is limited to docs/contacts/manage_contacts.rst and docs/users_roles/managing_roles.rst. The PR base now targets 7.2. Let me know if anything else needs adjusting.
