Woo Publication Platform is the Open Government Act (Woo; Wet Open Overheid) publication platform of the Ministry of Health, Welfare, and Sport in the Netherlands (Ministerie van Volksgezondheid, Welzijn en Sport; short: MinVWS). The aim of the Woo Publication Platform is to streamline the process for government officials to publish documents, while also improving accessibility for journalists and the public to search through these documents.
The Woo consists of 17 categories of documents that need to be made public. Initially the Woo Publication Platform only supported publication of category 14 (Woo-verzoeken, -besluiten en verstrekte informatie). Over time, support for additional categories has been added.
Since the platform was originally conceived to be used only within MinVWS, it originally was called "OpenMinVWS", which was later shortened to "OpenVWS". Now that we are working towards expansion towards multiple departments, the project has been dubbed "Woo Publication Platform".
In the repository names you will find the "nl-rdo-" prefix. RDO is the old name of iRealisatie ("Realisatie Digitale Ondersteuning").
Our project team promotes transparency, collaboration, and innovation through open source. We value the expertise of the community and warmly welcome tech and non-tech contributions to make the Woo Publication Platform project better.
