I doubt the wording "faders at unity" is clear for all users, especially for non-techy beginners.
Let's use someting that refers to the GUI:

Even though we have the Help button linked to https://manual.mixxx.org/latest/chapters/preferences/sound_hardware.html, we may consider to add an explicit link "Find details in the Mixxx user manual" to https://manual.mixxx.org/latest/chapters/preferences/sound_hardware.html#output-and-input-devices
