I'd like to submit fmu-forge and the Chrono::FMI module for inclusion in the FMI tools list

Thanks for your commits!
Could you please provide in the repos that you link in the examplesURLs more information in a README.md file, e.g. with which checkers, reference FMUs, and other importing and exporting tools you have tested your implementation?
See e.g. https://github.com/altairengineering/fmus for an example

Certainly, we can do that. It may not happen right away (I have a lot of balls in the air these days), but soon.
But I assume this PR is somewhat independent of those additions.

@rserban for sure this information can be provided later.
But as these linked repo directories currently do not contain the information for "compatibility information" (see https://github.com/modelica/fmi-standard.org/blob/main/CONTRIBUTING.md#compatibility-information) , e.g. example FMUs and reports with which checkers, FMUs from other exporting tools and importing tools you have tested your export and import of FMU, I suggest to remove then the examplesURL in the current PR and provide this information with a later PR.
OK?

(The initial commit is currently the minimal quality check that we do for the "compatibility information)

@chrbertsch - I created README files for both repositories describing the FMI examples we provide and how they were tested, for export and import.

looks very good! Thanks @rserban
