Commit 097316e confused XEP-0048: Bookmarks with XEP-0084: User Avatar The former was removed in that commit while the latter is still supported
Its usage got removed in commit 4df3a39
A side effect of this commit is that in the old chatview, when the image viewer is open, seeing the previous attachments requires swiping to the left rather than to the right (which actually matches the behavior of the new chatview)
Rooms can have an overlay in the corner of the avatar, which we don't want clipped.
