The qtmqtt module is available in Qt6 (mingw-w64-qt6-mqtt), but it seems to be missing in Qt5.

Yes, we have some legacy industrial IoT projects that still rely on Qt5. They use the MQTT protocol to communicate with devices. Although Qt6 has been released for many years, there are still a large number of legacy industrial Qt5 software projects in the industrial control field that cannot be upgraded for stability reasons. Adding the qtmqtt package makes it easier to maintain these legacy projects.

It's true. This package could not be found in most official Linux distributions. However, there are some third-party package managers and repositories that provide it:

1. AUR (Arch User Repository)

2. vcpkg (C/C++ dependency manager)

3. PLD Linux Distribution

   • qt5-qtmqtt
