Intro Course 4.3.4: Nodes Shape Data

Normal Nodes

Nodes store no quantity in themselves, but normal nodes have shape data parameters that sets the initial properties of an infinitesimal quantity inside the node.

Basic Nodes (Electrical & Thermal Aspect)

Refer to the shape help page: GunnsBasicNode. The shape data term potential is the initial voltage of the node in the electrical aspect, or temperature (K) in the thermal aspect.

Fluid Nodes

Refer to the shape help page: GunnsFluidNode. The shape data initialFluidState is a reference to a Fluid State object in the network that defines an initial fluid state (pressure, temperature, mixture, etc.). The referenced Fluid State is the initial state of the contents of this node.

Ground Nodes

The Ground node has no shape data.

Reference Nodes

References nodes have no shape data. Their number refers to the normal node # that they represent.
