Exp CRS Bootcamp

Welcome

In this two-day workshop you'll learn the basics of ExP team Rest Service Development while building a working WebJob.

The first day provides an introduction to setting up the Exp CRS locally and the technologies used. This is targeted at new and experienced developers alike. On the second day we'll build a sample WebJob, which is the building block of the ExP Consumption Rest Services.

Lesson Structure

  1. Instructions will list steps that you will follow to accomplish the goal of the lesson.

  2. Notes will provide info and external documentation on the topic of the lesson.

  3. Demos & exercises will give you an opportunity to apply the content from the other lessons in a hand-on activity.

Day one

Day one covers setting up CRS locally, and the basic technologies that the WebJobs are built on.

  1. Install Libraries
  2. Build the CRS Locally
  3. Intro to WebJobs
  4. Sending & Receiving Data
  5. Intro to ARM and EV2

Day two

Day two applies the previous lessons to guide you through building your own WebJob based off a template.

  1. Setup a new WebJob
  2. Sample WebJob Template
  3. Adding Logic
  4. Testing your WebJob
  5. Test in Pre-Prod
  6. View Logs
