Here we provide information on how to upload an ERC in OJS by using the OJS-ERC-Plugin! In the OJS submission process there is the option to upload an ERC to the o2r service, therefore you have to execute the following steps.

1. Start

  • Agree to the submission requirements, indicate your submission role and agree to the privacy statement of the journal.

2. Upload Submission

  • Upload the zipped workspace including the code, data, and documentation for building a reproducible runtime environment.
  • After uploading, indicate, that the uploaded file should be an Executable Research Compendium by clicking on the corresponding genre.
  • With hitting the button “Save and continue” an ERC candidate is created.

3. Enter Metadata

  • The metadata extracted from the workspace uploaded by the author are automatically inserted in the corresponding fields.
  • At this point there is the possibility to check and edit the metadata of the submission and with it also of the ERC.
  • With “Save and Continue” the ERC is published and also inspectable on the o2r server.

4. Confirmation

  • With finishing the submission step 4. of the OJS submission process the ERC gets also viewable for assigned reviewers.
