    • antopercle (UBERON:7770001)
    • dermohyal (UBERON:7770002)
    • lateral gular (UBERON:7770003)

Details

  • Appropriate part_of relationships were added to each term
  • References to scientific publications were included in the definitions
  • Added contributor attribution via ORCID

Closes #3431

🤖 Generated with Claude Code

…al, lateral gular.

Added new terms with IDs UBERON:7770001, UBERON:7770002, and UBERON:7770003 for skeletal elements in early ray-finned fishes (Actinopterygii) based on issue #3431.

- antopercle: Paired dermal element anterior to the opercle and posterior to the dermohyal
- dermohyal: Paired element that is typically fused to the hyomandibula
- lateral gular: Paired dermal elements on the ventral surface of the skull bearing the gular pit line

@cmungall - IDs will clash.

Also would strongly prefer taxon constraints to be present.

Pull request overview

This PR adds three new anatomical terms to the UBERON ontology for skeletal elements found in early ray-finned fishes (Actinopterygii): antopercle, dermohyal, and lateral gular. Each term includes scientific definitions with references to specific specimens, appropriate taxonomic relationships, and contributor attribution.

Changes:

  • Added antopercle (UBERON:7770001) as a paired dermal element in the opercular region
  • Added dermohyal (UBERON:7770002) as a paired element fused to the hyomandibula, with synonyms for antopercular/antoperculum
  • Added lateral gular (UBERON:7770003) as paired dermal elements on the ventral skull surface

The created_by: dragon-ai-agent line has been removed from the UBERON:7770009 term (kidney interpolar region). This appears to be an unintended change that is unrelated to the addition of the skeletal terms for early ray-finned fishes. This line should be retained.
